Welcome to Oak Class! This is the happy home of Year 1 and 2 for 2026 - 2027.

Mrs Nicholson teaches on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mrs Carter teaches on a Thursday and Friday.

Mrs Cook and Mrs Judd are our Teaching Assistants. 

Week 2

Oak Class have all been working so hard this week. We are all so proud of the way that they have started this new school year. Year 1 are learning the routines of a new class so well and Year 2 are demonstrating their maturity now that they are the oldest children in the class.

In English, we have been sharing the story Bedtime for Monsters. Whilst investigating the character of the monster, the children thought of some excellent questions to ask about the monster, making use of question marks accurately. 

Some of our Maths work has involved recognising 2D shapes. We clearly have some superb mathematicians in Oak Class, keen to apply their knowledge of shapes to reasoning and problem solving situations. What a wonderful start!
