Internet Safety Presentation with parents 8/3/22
A big thank you to Nick Speller who worked with the children to present internet safety messages using different media with the children, and for an informative presentation with parents.
There was a lot of information to digest and there is a link below to follow for more information.
Nick's top 3 take-away tips are:
- Don't ban - talk and negotiate. If you ban, your child will not be able to speak to you if they find themselves in difficulty
- Talk regularly to your child about what they are doing on the internet so conversation about this becomes a natural communication.
- Make sure your child understands they can talk to you about anything that has worried them online and they don't need to feel afraid or embarassed.
