Oak Class Environmental Projects

Autumn Term

I can learn about and care for animals. 

Oak have been focusing on how seasonal changes can impact animals. They’ve been talking about hibernation, migration and feeding the birds. They’ve been thinking about what animals live on our Forest School site and how we can care for them.

 

Oak Class have now placed two Trail Cams into the Forest School site. We will check the footage each week and move them each week to help us find out which animals are visiting or living in our site... we should have updates for you soon!!

Spring Term

I can plant seeds and help them to grow in order to care for more wildlife.

Oak Class have planted seeds and been caring for them so that they grow. As well as watering them they have made signs letting people know not to dig where they have planted and created bird scarers. Oak Class are looking forward to seeing if the most recent addition of the wildflower garden will increase the amount of bees and butterflies at our Forest School.
